About Paul
Since 1991, Paul Edwards has been a transformative consultant for nonprofits, inspiring staff and boards of 123 U.S. and international organizations. He has led seminars on major gift fundraising and provided specialized training for entities like the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Oxford University, the San Francisco Symphony, CASE, Christian Leadership Associiation, The Institute for Charitable Giving, and Oregon Health and Science University. In 2005, Paul developed Beijing’s first fundraising training for the China Association of Nonprofit Organizations with the Maclellan Foundation.
A Stanford University graduate, Paul spent 11 years at Stanford and Stanford Medical Center, designing volunteer and staff training for the first billion-dollar U.S. nonprofit campaign. In 1990, he trained leadership for seven U.S. university campaigns totaling $15.4 billion. As Senior Vice President at Prison Fellowship, he managed a $35 million campaign for justice reform. Paul served as CEO of Hawaiian Islands Ministries, coordinating post-9/11 emergency responses, and as Vice President at Reebok CCS Fitness.
Paul architected successful campaigns for Mercy Ships, Wycliffe’s $2 Billion Last Languages Campaign, and Gordon College’s $187 Million Faith Rising Campaign. He led training for the University of Chicago’s $5.4 billion and UC Berkeley’s $7.4 billion campaigns. As board chair for Discover the World, he supported Kenyan orphanages, collaborating with local teams in Ethiopia, Ghana, and beyond.
An accomplished singer and actor with over 40 theatrical productions, Paul holds a Master of Divinity from Fuller Seminary. He shares his life with his wife, Jeannie, and their pets, Sarge (a Bouvier des Flandres) and James Bond (a Standard Poodle). His three children pursue careers in the performing arts. His rich insightful content is matched with an engaging delivery for maximum retention and application.
